Ed with his standing on the track starts, then he would run up to the flagstand.

It went well for several years, until the time he got run over, then he stayed in the stand all the time. I am sure RC9 Remembers when he did that, he is old like me LOL !

I wasn't there the night he got hit. Can't even remember who hit him. Why they used to start races like that I'll never know.

Ed Nelson got clipped by Ed Streich in his cadet. Can't compare Ed to Spanky. Two different eras. Greg Wheeling was pretty good, too.
