Nobody headed south for the NDRL show in Pittsburgh?
Steve Francis took the 50-lap, $10,000-to-win Penn National, passing Jonathan Davenport around lap 20 and leading the rest of the way. Rest of the top 10: Birky, Davenport, Robinson, Sheppard, Satterlee, Fuller, Madden, Pettyjohn, Moyer. Heck of a field, I think. PPMS hasn't hosted that kind of talent in a long, long time.
The third heat alone, won by Birky, was ridiculous. Max Blair, starting back in eighth, got to look up at Madden, Birky, Bloomquist, Blankenship, and Moyer. Good luck with that, pal!
Gotta give Kennedy credit. He's bringing the stars so far.

14 cars finish on the lead lap. Good to see Mike Knight there, but he misses the show by one spot. Max has to use a provisional to get in.
