Who's going to McKean this weekend? It will be the last race of the season for the Suppa Racing s4. We have sold the car already and will need to get moving on our plans for next year. plus I need some therapy time in a tree. Not sure what the day race will bring but will be fun to get one last race in. I would personally like to thank all our sponsors for this past season.

I would also like to say a big Thank You to Terry Suppa for giving me this opportunity to wheel the Rayburn by BA this past season.

Ward, I wasn't there but I see you had a good run. What's your take on the show? I know 2 people that were there and probably won't go back. What was the deal with the lights?

I was there. My boy and I left after the heats at 6:15, when they said they were going to take a 15 minute break...we all know that means at least 45, which I heard it was.
When I got there at 12:30, the track was a mud hole. Obviously there was quite a bit of rain on Friday, but I wonder if they opened up the surface to take advantage of "nature's water truck", and got more than they anticipated. Hard to say with a track that hadn't been run on for a year. Either way, they did not have the proper equipment to pack the track back in which resulted in starting 2 hours late.
The most frustrating part was that after such a late start, you would think they would have been in "hurry up" mode for the rest of the event, but that was not the case. I saw that the SLM main ended around 8:45, with more racing to do, which made me feel justified in my decision to make an early exit.
On a positive note, it seemed like a good crowd, and decent car counts, although more than 16 Supers would have been nice. After what I saw when I got there, I expected the track to be beyond terribly rough, but it blew off and turned out much better than I imagined. I hope they can figure out how to get some of the needed track prep equipment and run some more races next year, and hopefully the slow-paced show didn't turn too many people off too much.

That sounds just like I heard it from my friends. One of them left at 7:30 and the temp was 43 and they still had emods, lates, and whatever that other class was. On another note, the rundown on Dirt on Dirt listed 21 late models in the feature.

I was going by what I counted during the group qualifying. I probably lost count of the groups. Even so, for $5000 to win there were a lot of missing "names" that I would have expected.

overall it's was ok but i wasnt sitting on the bleachers either. i went there expecting it to be a long show due to the circumstances. we did have a decent run just glad nothing broke. we've been on rough tracks all year so were kind of use to that. didnt get as hard as we thought. tire wear was at a minimum. i'm glad chris was able to pull off the show, maybe things can be better there next year.to say you wont go back is kinda of harsh, there has been and will be great racing there again. wish him and crew lots of luck in the future.
